- How long do your coatings last?
Our coatings will last for many years with minimal maintenance. For example, our residential garage floor coatings have a ten year warranty and our commercial polyaspartic coatings have a five year warranty.
- How can I clean my new Guardian coating?
Outdoors a pressure washer is the easiest way to clean your new coating. Indoors a mop with soapy water, then a second "dry mopping" with clean water. Tough stains like road tar or hot tire residue on our garage floor coating can be cleaned with a rag dampened with acetone. Any spills like oil, gasoline, or anything acidic will wipe up with no stain if addressed immediately, but may eventually deteriorate the coating if left to soak in over time.
- My neighbor installed an epoxy coating in his garage that he bought at the hardware store. When he drove his car inside, the coating came up under his tires. Will your garage floor coating do that?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Many people have seen the dreaded "hot tire pickup" in a garage. This happens for many reasons, but usually because of inferior products or improper preparation of the concrete. Our garage floor coating product penetrates deep into the concrete and is guaranteed never to peel up.
- How long does it take to install? I don't like to leave my vehicle outside for very long.
Our typical garage floor installation can be completed in only one day, and you can drive on it the next day.
- Will my floor be slippery?
It depends. The coatings with the decorative vinyl chips or quartz aggregate inside (our FastGuard line) have a good amount of texture and skid resistance. The smoother coatings (like our ColorGuard floors)can have an invisible non-slip aggregate integrated into the top coat to provide slip resistance.
- What types of materials does your product bond to?
Our products bond to concrete, metal, wood, or drywall. They will not bond to plastic or rubber.
- Can I pay with a credit card?
